Physical
Ben is 34 years old, turned in early 30’s. Reddish brown hair, his faceclaim is Jamie Bamber, including his voice. He has no tattoos and does not plan on getting one any time soon. His style is meticulously groomed, usually business casual but on occasion jeans and a tight (but clean) tee. He’s 5’10” which is either average or short depending on his company. His physique is not overly muscular but toned and “healthy”. Only one scar, a line across his left palm.

Demeanor
Ben was arrogant as a human and that attribute has only been heightened as a vampire. He feels that everyone has potential but they’re simply too lacy and complacent to recognize it. As a human he was very proud of the material things he had, simply because he feels he spent his lifetime earning them. Now he struggles to find his place in the chaos of the vampire culture. He wants a hierarchy to ascend. This is why he identifies with The Supremacy and refuses to take the “handouts” offered by Gayle. As a new vampire, Benjamin has allowed room for one area of chaos - his feeding. He has yet to develop any certain preferences in his taste or habits other than gloating in the “power” he feels afterward by painting himself in his victims’ blood. (He does not do this always, only when he’s being “gluttonous”.) He enjoys “tainting” things that are pristine partially because he feels that is what has happened to himself, so more than likely his victims will become more “innocent”, classy, etc.

Quick History
Ben was raised by a single mother on an Air Force base in Aurora, Colorado after his father left mysteriously. Not wanting to live in poverty for the rest of his life, he put himself through med school and took a job in Index, WA as an ER physician. His plan was to eventually become a trauma surgeon, but that was wrecked when he was turned by Noelle Benson.
Before Ben was turned, he wasn’t a complete jackass and did enjoy the good he did in the emergency room. Because of this, when he saw the red flashing lights by the river one night, he stopped to find that there had been a car accident and that a woman was in the river. His attempt to save her and he was thought to have died in the process of saving her - except he hadn’t. He’d been turned by Noelle.
Ben does not quite fit in with his vampire “family”, other than wanting to be with Noelle he envies Gayle but also refuses to take her handouts and be “under her thumb”. He works with the Supremacy, something in which he happily finds the structure he’s been seeking.
Relationships
Noelle Benson - Maker
Ben has known Noelle since they were both human. Since he met her, he has found her incredibly attractive and has found her confidence and assertiveness a challenge. As his maker, he resents her “power” over him and takes it out aggressively on her. However, he still sees her as something unreachable, unattainable. He holds both fury and reverence in his heart for her.
Gayle Shaffer - Disliked
Gayle is Noelle’s maker and in that alone he is jealous. He respects that she’s created an empire but refuses to be “handed” things by her because he does not want to be obligated to her. He disagrees with her plans to “out” vampires simply because the chaos it would cause. He thinks she’s simply old, senile and bored and feels like the rest of the world shouldn’t have to pay for that.
Laurel Davis - It’s complicated
As a human Ben found Laurel becoming and attractive because of both her physical appearance and her ambition. However, he’d always wanted to see if if he could find her “wild side”. As with most things, his humanly desires have only been amplified - and darkened. He wants to taint her with his own brand of corruption, and he wants her to enjoy it. He still respects her, at least as much as he can respect any human which isn’t much. But not so much that he won’t keep digging until he finds her dark side.
Ursula Darwin - Superior
Recruited Ben to the supremacy. Too high to be his “direct supervisor” but Ben still sees her from time to time. Ben was creeped out by her at first, but has come to respect her.
