She is not a fan of watching movies, but her brother loves Marvel movies, so she watches them with him. She doesn't read, and she listens exclusively to classic rock.

Her favorite food is Mexican. She secretly loves fruity or mixed drinks, but when in public she drinks hard liquor straight.

Personality: Arden is very friendly and extraverted. She struggles with handling emotion, although she deals with it often since she is an empath. She is very flippant and has a dry sense of humor. It is difficult for her to become really close to someone, but she is fiercely loyal to those she calls friends.

She doesn't own a computer, but she has a flip phone which she uses to text and call regularly.

History

Arden was born and raised in Aspen, Colorado. Her mother died when she was very young so she was raised by her father alongside her brother, and her personality was heavily influenced by a) her father's alcoholism and b) the lack of female influence in her life. In high school she was a bit of a lone wolf (figuratively). She was friends with everyone and no one, preferring not to make deep connections with people and often hanging around Tourists who came to ski. Skiing, coincidentally, was her life. As a teen she skied competitively until an accident ended her skiing career in her early twenties.

After the skiing accident she became an alcoholic, dealing with severe alcoholism until she finally sought help and was alcohol-free for years before eventually falling off the wagon and becoming a bartender, although she didn't deal with the issue as seriously as she had before.

Around this time was also when she was turned. Arden has always harbored some resentment about being turned and the pack hierarchy in general. When she came to Index originally she did not get on well with Vincent and never felt much a part of any pack, although she was well liked by most wolves.

She is a relatively powerful empath, able to control the emotions of a number of people at once without touching them. However, her gift makes her moody. Arden grew up in a very hyper-masculine environment where it was unacceptable to show emotion, and she still struggles with dealing with displays of emotion, whether they are her own or those of others, which makes her own gift frustrating to her because of the moodiness and her constant awareness of the emotions of others. Drinking helps her to block out these feelings and she can often be found sipping from a flask.

Arden inherited her car from her father, and she cares for it a great deal. It is one of the only nice things her now dead father did for her, since he also taught her about cars.

Her skin is naturally pale but is usually tan from the amount of time she spends outside year-round.

Arden carries herself like a man, with a long loping stride and a tendency to slouch. She sits with her legs open or in whatever position is most comfortable. She's friendly and talks loudly when drunk. She's not particularly self-conscious.
